Lip Restoration

What Is Lip Restoration Tattooing?

Lip tattooing, often associated with cosmetic enhancements, serves a deeper purpose in the field of restorative and medical treatments. For individuals with visible differences such as cleft lip, vitiligo, depigmented lips, or those recovering from burns, this procedure offers more than just aesthetic improvement.

By carefully introducing natural pigments into the lips, we can recreate a symmetrical and balanced appearance, camouflaging scars, and restoring lost colouration.

Experience the Benefits of Lip Restoration Tattooing

  • Defined Lip Shape: The procedure can define and contour the lips, creating a more symmetrical and balanced appearance. This can be particularly helpful for those with uneven or poorly defined lip borders.

  • Long-lasting Results: Unlike traditional lipsticks or lip liners that wear off throughout the day, lip semi-permanent makeup looks polished look throughout the day.

  • Time-saving: With Semi-Permanent Lips, individuals can save time in their daily makeup routine.

  • Smudge-proof: Unlike conventional lip products, lip tattoos won't smudge, smear, or transfer, ensuring a polished look throughout the day.

  • Customisable: The procedure allows for customisation in terms of color and shape, ensuring results that align with the individual's preferences.

Understand Your Treatment Plan

How many sessions are typically required for Lip Restoration Tattooing?

Typically 2 sessions are required however if there is scarring, you may require an additional session, either to treat scarring prior to tattooing, through microneedling, or an additional tattooing session due to pigment potentially not retaining in heavily scarred areas.  All treatments will require future touch-ups when pigment starts to fade.

Is the Lip Restoration Tattooing procedure painful?

Some clients feel no sensation at all, others feel mild discomfort. Topical numbing is used to control discomfort if required. Clients say that having a procedure is comparable to having their eyebrows tweezered or their legs waxed.

How do I choose the right lip shade and style for me?

Kelly will guide you in selecting a shade and style that complements your skin tone, facial features, and personal preferences.

What is the aftercare process for Lip Restoration Tattooing?

After treatment, you may experience some swelling/redness for up to 48 hours after your procedure. During the healing process, you will experience some scabbing of the area. It is vital that you try to keep the area as dry as possible during the healing process. We recommend you do not swim, sunbathe or use a sauna/jacuzzi for 2 weeks after the procedure.
